Yesterday I took a 12-mile hike (roughly). My parents and I used to go to a lake back in the late '50s. It's maybe 20 miles out of town, but the local busses run most of the way out there to within 6 miles of the place. I felt like visiting it.

I didn't get any blisters on my feet, but my legs hurt. Even though I walk a lot, and this was on pavement rather than slippery, uneven trail, I wasn't used to it and my legs are sore.

I'm glad I did it though. I like to push myself- and I'm only sore, not injured. I saw two deer (or just one two different times), a goldfinch, a woodchuck, and two different butterflies- a Monarch, and a frittilary I think.

I'll be mostly off-line until later this month. I'll miss you guys!

I started a new job a little over a month ago and haven't really been working out because the hours are until 6 or 7 at night and then I live an hour from the place and have to go home for a bit prior to working out and then the gym is 20 mins from my house....blech.

But, I am going tonight (and hopefully all week) and I don't care if I am out until 10 o clock lol.

    I'm planning on doing:

    25 min elliptical trainer
    20 mins stationary bike
    10-15 mins of weight lifting

Any tips on having enough energy to go to the gym this late?

    Yesterday:

    25 mins elliptical.

I was in a rush and didn't do much else.

Today is Friday so I don't have work tomorrow and can stay late at the gym.

    I am planning on:

    30 mins elliptical
    20 mins bike
    Arm weight machines
